  • 11/01/2020 UMD Community Notice - Update in Last Night's Off-Campus Shooting

    Dear Campus Community, Last night shortly after 11 PM, the University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) and the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) responded to a report of a shooting at The Hotel at the University of Maryland.

  • 10/29/2020 UMD Advisory: Flood Warning

    The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Waring for our area until 5:30 PM. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. At 11:30 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area throughout the day. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

    INCIDENT: 4th Degree Sex Offense/Unlawful Touching OCCURRED: October 24, 2020, at approximately 1:10 a.m. LOCATION: ODK Fountain on McKeldin Mall UMPD CASE #: 2020-76255 BRIEF DETAILS: On October 24, 2020, at approximately 2:12 a.m., the University of Maryland Police Department was notified of a 4th degree sex offense/unlawful touching that occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m., this morning.
