She retired from the University of Maryland Police Department in April, after serving 30 outstanding years of service to the University of Maryland community.
In recognition of her retirement, Chief Mitchell issued a Proclamation:
Whereas, MPO Radl has proudly and meritoriously served this agency and the University community since her hire in 1991 as a Student Police Aide;
Whereas, through her duty assignments, networks, professional memberships, and volunteer efforts, MPO Radl has amassed a vast, thorough, and unparalleled institutional knowledge;
Whereas, MPO Radl has earned CALEA Advanced Accreditation for the University of Maryland Police Department, elevating this credential to its highest level of distinction during her tenure;
Whereas, MPO Radl has proudly served her agency peers as a Board Member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 23;
it is the duty, honor, and privilege of the University of Maryland Police Department to recognize Master Police Officer Katherine Radl on the occasion of her retirement after thirty years of outstanding performance.
