INCIDENT: Voyeur Incident

OCCURRED: October 27, 2025 (Monday)/ Approximately 6:57 p.m.

BRIEF DETAILS:

On October 27, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., the University of Maryland Police Department was notified about a voyeur incident that occurred at approximately 6:57 p.m., on October 27, 2025, at McKeldin Library.

A man (student) reported to police that he was inside a restroom on the 7th floor when a quick bright light caught his attention from underneath the stall next to him. The student saw a phone case before the suspect’s hand disappeared. The student went to the stall next to him and saw the suspect before he left the restroom. The student reported that the suspect was wearing a red flannel shirt and jeans, with glasses, and seemed older than college age.

A witness canvass was conducted by officers. The University of Maryland Police Department, Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating this incident.
