Update in Multiple Incidents of Malicious Destruction of Property

College Park, MD – On January 24, 2024, a University of Maryland Police Officer was in the area of Baltimore Avenue and College Avenue, when they saw the suspect from the multiple incidents of malicious destruction of property (spray painting). Officers stopped the person and identified him as Marshall Cook Renner.
On January 25, 2024, our Detective applied for charges. On January 26, 2024, our Detective received a criminal summons for Marshall Cook Renner. He was charged with the following:
Five counts of CR 6-301 Malicious Destruction of Property Value $1,000+
16 counts of CR 6-301 Malicious Destruction of Property Value < $1,000
