Child Car Seat Check
On Saturday, April 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the University of Maryland Police Department will host a Child Car Seat Check at the Pocomoke Building (7569 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, Maryland 20742). This is a free service and is available to anyone. A certified child safety seat technician will assist you with installing and provide guidance on the proper use of your child safety seat.
DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will host DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at locations across the country. DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. For more than a decade, the event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications—those that are old, unwanted, or expired—that too often become a gateway to addiction.
