College Park, MD – On August 30, 2026, the University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) responded to South Campus Commons #3 to investigate three residential burglaries. A UMD Safety Notice was sent, that included a link to photos of persons of interest. After the release of the email, we received numerous tips from our community and two additional reports of residential burglaries and one report of an other incident, that our investigators verified were connected to the persons of interest.

College Park, MD – On August 26, 2026, at approximately 8:19 p.m., UMPD received a call about a man who just exposed himself in the area of Norwich Road. Officers responded and located the suspect in the 4500 block of College Avenue. After further investigation, the suspect, 34-year-old Andre Aaron Moore of Washington, D.C., was taken into custody in connection with this incident and charged accordingly. There are four victims and they are all UMD students. Andre Aaron Moore was charged with four counts of Indecent Exposure.
